Roy Disley.
Died Friday 3rd August 2007 at home with his family by his side at 11am, being a young age of 72 years after a fighting 2 and a half year battle against skin cancer. Roy trained as a keen footballer and also trained other footballers on the Standish Team. Roy were born and lived in the that area. Married for 52yrs to Sylvia and lived with her at their marital home. They had 6 great-grandchildren, 9 grandchildren and 5 children. Roy sadly passed away in his bed at home were he wanted and wished to be. Roy left a leggasy of politeness and friendliness, loving his wife and family, a lover of his football, walks in the countryside, and dogs. Roy used to walk many of miles in the countryside with his dogs, he did this for several years even when he didn't have a dog he still walked miles and miles.

Hi dad we have another new addition our Robert and Steph have had another baby she were born on the 11TH September 2010 her name is Millie, our Andrea got engaged on that day aswell. We all miss you very much. xxxxxxxxxx

Michelle she had a daughter her name is India, Michelle also got married and her husbands name is Mathew. We love and miss you very much, you also have now a grandson-in-law he is Katrinas husband and he comes from London his name is Sean. Your also have a grand-daughter-in-law who married John her name is Susan and you have a future grand-son-in-law that is to marry Andrea his name is Danial. xxxxxxxxxx.

The Lord woke up this morning with so much work to do
so many plans He has to make before the day is through.
He gathers all his angels. They stand close by his side
as each receive their saintly chores they spread their wings and fly.
The Lord looked up and realized his angels all were gone.
With so much work still left to do, He'd hire a new one on.
A million applications now lie upon his desk.
He reads each one so carefully until he finds the best.
Someone with all the qualities it takes to keep their faith.
Someone who seemed to always have a smile upon their face.
Someone who always tried to give a hand to those in need.
Unselfish love was all he knew, no room was left for greed.
And now the Lord has made his choice. He'll come for him today.
With wings that God alone can give, He smiles and flies away.
A single, fallen feather lies softly on the ground.
A sign sent down from heaven, Angel wings are homeward bound.
